Green Cargo setter i drift de to første nestegenerasjon gods-lokomotivene i Norge. De nye Eurodual-lokomotivene er sterkere, bedre tilpasset tøff, norsk natur og vil redusere forsinkelsene i jernbanenettet. Med det nye lokomotivet kan ett godstog frakte like mye som 30 lastebiler. Norge er det første landet i Norden som tar i bruk det nye lokomotivet.

Green Cargo will deploy the first two next-generation freight locomotives in Norway. The new Eurodual locomotives are more robust, better adapted to the harsh Norwegian landscape and will reduce delays across the railway network. The new locomotive means that a freight train can transport the equivalent of 30 trucks. Norway is the first country in the Nordics to use this new locomotive.

Green Cargo is delivering sheet piling to the West Link project, removing 370 truckloads from the roads

The Swedish Transport Administration is building the West Link to create a railway for commuter and regional trains in a tunnel under central Gothenburg. Green Cargo is transporting around 8,600 tonnes of sheet piling to the tunnel site, removing almost 370 truckloads from roads to and within central Gothenburg.

In mid-November, Green Cargo began installing a new type of brake disc that will be tested on mail wagons over the winter. If the project is successful, more wagons will have their brake discs replaced.

The union SEKO has announced that conflict measures will take effect at 2 pm on Friday 12 May. Due to the scale of the conflict measures we have had to adjust our traffic. We are actively working to ensure that as many trains as possible run and to keep the number of traffic changes to a minimum.

Green Cargo and Ovako have extended the shuttle agreements for Smeboxpendeln and Hälleforspendeln for an additional three years. With five cycles a week throughout the year, steel materials are transported in one direction and scrap in the other for recycling in production.

Green Cargo launches a new IT system, PICit, encompassing the company’s entire domestic rail traffic in Norway. The launch began with the Alnabru — Trondheim railway route in mid-March. Green Cargo now has standardized, digital working methods for bookings to deliveries that facilitate status updates for customers’ freight wagons and units with both online and EDI bookings including track & trace.

Denne uken deltok vi på Norges største logistikkmesse «Transport & Logistikk» på Gardermoen. Konsernsjef Jan Kilström forklarte i sitt foredrag bakgrunnen for at vi valgte å etablere oss i Norge og innenfor hvilke markedssegmenter vi vil vokse. På messen hadde vi også en stand der vi møtte nåværende og potensielt nye kunder, samarbeidspartnere og interesseorganisasjoner.
